Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes
Sadako is a 12 years old girl she was born in 1943. She was only 2 years old when the atomic bomb has dropped in August 6 1945. She lives in Japan With her family. When Sadako was in hospital because she had diagnosed with leukemia she made paper cranes every day to make her have good luck.
Sadako is a very athletic person, she loves to run. Sadako was a very nice kind hearted person. Page 11 “ But I do respect Oba chan, “ Sadako said. Page 9 “ Sadako was born to be a runner. Her mother always said that Sadako had learned to run before she could walk Sadako liked to run than walking but when she had diagnosed with leukemia she stopped running.
Sadako made 644 paper cranes so she can have good luck. Sadako’s was having good luck because she made 644 paper cranes the paper cranes must give her good luck. Her class made 356 paper cranes to make 1000 paper cranes. There buried the 1000 paper cranes with Sadako.
Before Sadako died she made one wish she wish that she would live on in the hearts of people for a long time. Sadako passed away on the October 25, 1955. After Sadako’s funeral the bamboo class collected Sadako’s letters and publish them in a book they named Kokeshi.
The book was soon sent the book around japan and soon everyone knew about Sadako and her thousand paper cranes.
Sadako got diagnosed with leukemia when the atomic bomb dropped but her mother didn’t know at she had diagnosed with leukemia. Sadako found out at she had diagnosed with leukemia because Sadako was getting weaker and weaker Sadako closed her eyes she never woke up.
